I am pretty sure TDL is talking about the visual quality of the maps. I have downloaded the 2 maps and looked at them in the map editor and I cant even find the appropriate words without offending you. Please check out the Original Knights and Merchants Campaign to see how a map should look.

Well, to be honest, maybe it's the best idea, if you make some maps just for yourself and improve in that area, before you post a huge project like this special campaign you have idea for. I can imagine, how hard is it make a good campaign, with good looking maps, with good, interesting story. You want to make something bigger, something, that hasn't been done before. It's hard. And it needs a lot of time and effort. It's great, that you have these totally different ideas for campaign, to make every map be an interesting experience. But the truth is, that even a great script is not enough, if map looks bad. Think about it, the first thing you see is the map itself, not the script. Even if script would turn out to be amazing, most players would be like: "What's this? It's ugly... Meh, I will play something else". You need to have a good looking map, an interesting story AND a good script, to make a map, that's interesting for player.

I played first mission, I didn't enjoy it that much, but the idea and plot have some potential. I didn't like the slangy language you used in some messages ("Nie dali mi konia musiałem iść z buta..." Serio?). Also, there were a lot of interpunction mistakes, that make it harder to read the messages. What I liked in that mission, is that there were some reflection at the end, to paraphrase: "We defeated the enemy, but we still didn't know against who we were fighting...". But the mission itself was pretty short. You could easily expand it, make it bit longer and a bit complex. It's nice, that it's different than any other map. There should be more quests, instead of just go to Sawmill, then build Vinefields, then make a tower, then attack. You can improve here, make player stay a bit more in the village, to do some interesting stuff in it, that's connected with the story. But remember, not too much, as it might be boring, if there's too much to do before main quest.

You have to remember one thing - it takes time to make something, that will be enjoyable by others. So, my advice is - take your time :). Keep up your work, improve.

I recommend you take a look at Shadaoe's Adventurer's Journey, which might be a great inspirtation for you (it's a single player special map - with RPG elements). It's really fun, the looks are very nice, every little aspect ot this journey is well thought and well prepared. And the plot is great, which is probably most important in RPG maps. While playing it, I really wanted to go deeper into story.

Well, if you want people to learn from your scripts, maybe it would be better, if you write everything in English, not in Polish :D.

And please, remember, that not everyone would share your enthusiasm :). But that doesn't mean, the thing you do is not worthy. Maybe it's just not your time now.

All mine last posts put to that one.
I uploaded 2 missions.

With Mission 1 DDB i just learned how to write scripts (15 pages scripts).

MISSION 4 DDB
- Only look like map is not ended, because i plan add to spaces on that map some quest, events or new enemy :-)
- Mission 4 DBB have 45 pages scripts
- Work on Kam:Remake 5503, have translate to Polish and English
- We cannot build but we have many options and we can earn money to invest for some bonusses or buy troops. Many randon things are!
- All instructions include on message and show text on screen, now is easy to know what to do.

Again i publicate map, yes map look like do not end...
Now that map use 90 pages A4 scripts! All work fine.
Version: Kam:Remake rc3 6619. I used new scripts.
Languages: English and Polish.
Planing: Now is already many things!
I have much fuun to play with that map. If people do not intersting some with that map that be last publicate map from me :-). "Do i heard from You " Yesssssssss...." ? ;-)

MAP DDB VILLAGES with like 90 Pages A4 scripts we can:

Version 1:
-build up now, we can buy up to 5 addtional villages
- earn Ducats, Coppers, Supply
-All things are with infromation, at start hard to play but just read messages and all is there wrote :-)
-Its challenge map, try defend crossroads and our villages
-many usefull things like instant transport troops, or instant feed troops
-We can sell/buy wares
-Robbers attack random crossroad. Can be hard or easy.
-Each village have only 20x30 tiles to build + space for watchtowers. But we can at second village build only Farms, on 3th only Pigs farm. All villages are connected with one Major StoreHouse.
-Its challenge map, Enemy is stronger when we defended citizen. We play for record how many POWER ENEMY we get points! Enemy can attack even with +100 troops. Are we ready for that challenge? :-)

Version 2:
-added some conveniences like buy 10 or 1 soldiers at time, when citizen spawn will be sound, when use cannon will be sound. Better buying/selling.

Version 3:
-Added Onbeacon we can too kill own Unit/citizen in village, for example we created 15 laborers and we do not need that many.
-Added hmmm, very extra THING!!! Funny all hell :-) We can "shoot from Cannon", BUT now we can too set traps on ground when enemy soldier move on that will... >:-) When we set trap will be sound, and when enemy move on will be too another sound.
-2/3 will be less mistakes in LOG file.
-Improved "End Game"
-Added HardCore Mode, we can set it and will harder
-All works Fine we can do many things. Our one simple Village We can defend by use: Defend with watchtowers; Defend crossroad; Use Shoot from cannon; Set many traps on way to village; Hire Guards; Fast send support; or just create army to defend :-D

Version 4:
-After test with mine frend i decided to place where we can build watch towers make some tiles where we can use for Lumber or field/winefield, so now Woodcutter have space :-)
-Removed all exploits and cheats from map and code. Before we can change all Militia for Sword fighters easly while using transport, now we cannot :-)

I have Crazy idea, but it can be "easy" do now for me. I created map with some scripts and that map is for long time play (after 10h i just fully build 4 villages for example). Many maps which i played are just for one or two times for play and just it, i do not back to that map. For example Shadaoe's Adventurer's Journey, very good work done at created that map, many good ideas but unfortunelly i just play once and that is all. Except campaings normal from Knights and merchats, i will back and play again :-D even soon :-)

I added many things to mine map DDB Mission Villages. With that map i plan play more times than like just once. Its can be true, but with v3 map we can choose what thongs we can choose and how we can play. Generally we can choose now play style like:
-Create large army
-Use Bombs which we set on ground and use shoots from "cannon" mainly
-Try make good defence in villages with help guards.
-Buy all villages and try defend all
-Or just try get points Power of Enemy where when we gain +1 next attack will be stronger by +1 soldier, up to hmm 200 soldiers in one attack every 4 minutes :-)

On map is already StoreHouse with function to choose and there we can read infromations.
There or i created new store house to control, where at start mission we can choose "Specialist". Now we play again with that map and we plan play diffrent style. For example we like some things and we can now select it to get bonuses and be easier for us. We can choose only like 4 from Examples styles to select:
1. Easier to hire guards
2. Faster build building in our villages
3. Add new alliance on map who try help us
4. We like use traps, be cheaper then
5. we like shoot from "cannon" , will be cheaper
6. Better prices and we can faster earn Coppers
7. Better Supply and easier to create
8. We able to build more watch towers in area ouside our village
9. We like defend crossroad enemy spawn far and enemy must spent more time to walk
10. Active 7th crossaroad for special thing and we can buy addtional village up from maximum 6
11.Better instant transport
12. We able to hire one hero, who can very good fight.
13. Easier get unit with iron, but harder with leather
14. Easier get unit with leather but harder with armor.

Ofc we can choose or just not, but we can choose bonusses for our enemy for make game very hard.
1. Power ENEMY will not lose. Be harder by every attack
2. Enemy will be stronger every some time.
3. Enemy gain Bowmans or Crossmans
4. Harder to Buy or sell wares, prices are badly for us.

Maybe all things i add or just i select what i add to map.

Its all for idea, for choose style play on that map, and i take some idea :-) I thing for me its good idea just create one map but with many way to play diffrent style and play many times :-)

Added later: i update informations on that post. 90% from wrote here ideas are already added to Map DDB Mission Villages v5.

After spend some time i think i created very good map. Like 100 pages A4 with translate.
That mission is like "seperate game". There are many things i added many usefull things by using scripts.
I have some idea, maybe by using scripts let player change/set some things.
I added in v5 we can change style gameplay. We can control and change many things.
So if we have all 6 villages full builded, like 1000 soldiers, and we have tonts of money and wares, we can still by good set loose all in 30 minutes :-)


version v5:
-We can control enemy, we can change easly game mode, and choose what we like. When we are very strong, by some fast change settings our Enemy will "check" :-).
- Now i do not know what i can add more to that map, i added all things what i needed or i wanted :-) So i do not plan v6, just some fix, but i tested all and at the moment al works fine.

Having fun with made film with English Languages, not bad, first time. I do not good speak,but i had some fun when watched that film :-)
But what is important i wish show example idea how map with scripts can be changed.

-I ended that map. Look like map too, maybe i reorganize only villages areas.
-We can do at that many many things (80% i show on film)
-We can play many diffrent styles (i show 10% on film),
-Only what that map need: Some fix tranlate just add some grammar.
-That map use 150 A4 Pages scripts size font 11, all margins 1.2 in Word office. + Tranlate 6 polish and 6 english
So summary i wrote like 160 Pages o,o oh dear...

Now i do not publicate that map, if You wanna me to publicate that map and wanna play when RC3 will appear You can write opinions.
At the moment only mine frend some helped me and one person on that forum. Another players just blame me i do not map look like end, or just better say they don't write any opinion. Just all ignore, that map use about 150 pages A4 scripts 11 size and english and polish translate wth 12 A4 pages.
So now i understand that like none of You do not wanna that map :-) . On the another side before play with that map player need to learn and read some informations because that map give many options to use and we can chage many things and we choose style play.
On that map we mainly defending, not attacking. I have some ideas for another map where we mainly attack, but i do not know when i start make that map :-)
