The Reprisal to Odas
Story:
Once upon a time, there was a humble man who made a suitable offering to Odas, deep within this jungle. However, the evil Odas did not look favorably upon the offering; fair though it was. Odas turned his back on the man, who swore he would use the offering to seek his vengeance.

I agree. Also, nice map name and story, I like it.

I did some testing and I actually enjoy the map so far. I've added a download so you can take a close look.

Hey Ben,

We played a 2v2 game on this map. Hm, the fighting zone is very okay for 2v2, enough campy to make army collecting phases, but I think to some locs are a bit unbalanced. left top gold is very unbalanced and far from the coalfield. all other locs has closed coalfields next to the iron and gold hills. If i were you i would give more shapes for the roads-mainly at the locs. There are some bad elevated tile in the locs, these are visible after after road building, or after deleted coalmines.
I felt hard this building section, and the other players also say similar things. But will be okay. And enjoyable.
But please make more shapes and elevations! :wink:
These are my opinions!
Anyway its nice job and idea! I see you try to give different styles to the locations.

Thanks for the replay! I don't think the map needs any significant changes; at least not from this replay. Everyone made some pretty big mistakes and still turned out okay. For example, Boss makes a woodcutter then deletes it just to unlock sawmill(?!). You should have placed your metallurgist next to the coal: It's much more efficient! Mike had very bad woodcutter placement. David didn't replace his quick goldmine so he had no gold production for a while (and at recruit time, too. Very unfortunate!)

I am interested in the tower placement. I really didn't think that towers would be placed so far out. The right side was a bit more conservatice with it, but the left went very far with towers!

Please fix your map to meet the minimum reqiurements for the AI

because it runs out of wood

Min 50 wood planks

If the AI can't be competent with 40 timber then that's the AI's problem. I like using the 40 timber/5 trunk start as it really opens up the possibility for a 1st planter woodcutter. By the time your sawmill has processed your initial trunks, you'll have been able to build a second cutter in the trees.
