I've finally managed to reproduce it! However, it did not happen every time even with the same steps. I believe it is caused by an invalid memory access.

Some questions of either or both of you:
- Does it occur when you also have a map loaded in my editor? (when you can see the terrain with grass, trees, etc. in the map part of the screen, not just grey) If not, please always load the map before using my editor. (it was never really designed to work without a map loaded, I would not be surprised if this crashed it)
- Does it work for any multiplayer and singleplayer missions? (the one you select in the "New" dialogue, try it with both)
- Does it occur for maps/missions that have NO connection to the KaM Remake? e.g. if you open an original KaM mission/map, or create a new mission using an original KaM map.

So, here's my first map:

Forest Showdown

Please comment, so I can make it better. It's my first map, so don't be too harsh. It's a 4 player multiplayer map.

Nice, but you just used 2 kinds of terrain(not counting mountains and rivers)
And your mountains are a bit simple shaped. Seen the amount of iron there is I'd say you have to little coal.
I also noticed that there aren't enough/any objects. Can't see if you used magic water.

But, I think this will be a good balanced and positioned map.
Enough narrow spaces in which you can build towers.
Good balance in resources.(except for coal)

My earlier posted map isn't right, I found some mistakes which would make things pretty unbalanced.
Here is the right one, I also edited the other post.

Updated, and Rebalanced.

Removed some trees that caused some woodcutters to malfunction.
Gave player 4 some more building space and some additional starting resources(10logs and 10corn).
