Re: koczis12's maps

I just wanted to point out that Golden Cliffs has been played 94 times in just over a week since we released the update, and it's been played almost twice as much as the next most popular building map Wilderness. (check our servers page)

That's over 10 games played every single day on Golden Cliffs (H) (so on average Golden Cliffs is played approximately once every 2 hours for every hour of the day, every day of the week...) You should be very proud of yourself koczis12 ;)
Well, I have to say that I'm surprised that my map became so popular :O . My friend RomeK informed me about this "map ranking". So I'm very, very glad that KaM players really want to play Golden Cliffs. This whole situation gives me even bigger motivation for creating new maps. Thank you Lewin, I'm really appreciate your back up  .

I think this map isn't very good balanced. Look at locs 3 and 4 - they have much less place to build than other. Loc 4 have also not much place to plant trees (too much sand). Loc 2 and 6 have coal more away to gold and iron mountains than other locs. Loc 2 haven't also enough forests when loc 3 have too much of it. This map looks good, but it's a bit bad balanced.

Re: koczis12's maps

Can you please fix ground on this map before new release comes out? I think extra 15-20 food will be great too.

Re: koczis12's maps

Yes please, it would be a shame if this map of all maps isn't fixed in time. I think it was Matt who told me that he heard somebody say that there was someone else who heard from Lewin that Koczis12 fixed this map already...hehe. After playing it twice I've the impression this map isn't fixed at all yet. Too much unbuildable ground (atleast on loc 6) and also no food changes.

The ground has been fixed since r3870. I've been contacting ALL of the map authors who haven't sent us updates to their maps (because they're not as active in the community), in RC3 we plan for all of the maps to be corrected for heights and food. When authors don't reply or said they don't want to maintain their maps, I've done the corrections myself.

koczis12 decided not to change the food because there's already 140. I played this map once in the RC and I found there was enough food for me (and the other players seemed happy with it). But if you think it should be changed you can ask him :)

What for? Even I can make efficient food production on this map, especially on the no-fish locs where there's a bit more place :P

Re: koczis12's maps

Another awesome map, congratulations :)
I improved the spelling/grammar of the story:
Legend has it that the Ravine, which is surrounded by numerous kingdoms, is cursed. All those who ventured through this mysterious place have never returned. Your scouts reported that they spotted some ruins, which could belong to ancient ancestors. Who will be first to break the curse and discover the lands on the far side of the Ravine?
Let me know if you have any objections :)

Re: koczis12's maps

For me map is completely done, nothin to improve in my opinion. I love limited iron idea.

I already said a lot to koczis, no need to write it here also, so just - well done! :D

Re: koczis12's maps

Yes limited iron is great. In the end there's always an option that 1 players takes 4 iron mines, the other goes full leather. (Lance-spam)
