Re: Popolo's maps

I haven't tested the map yet but I like the idea of 4 parts joining eachother in 1 central point.
I'll test your map and I'll give my feedback. :D
Kick fast, think Bo.

Re: Popolo's maps

Can you put this map on mediafire?
This link doesn't work because there are too many diversions.

Re: Popolo's maps

Some comments:
- Your maps look very flat aside from the mountains
- There should be more objects, some areas have none
- The edges on your coal fields should be smoother
- Try placing special grass tiles in areas to make it more interesting

Look at original KaM maps (or really high quality maps like Paradise Island) for examples of my comments above.
I think you should keep improving your current maps before making more. "map8p" is your best one in terrain quality in my opinion.

Re: Popolo's maps

I agree with Lewin. Map "map8p" looks really good. I am worried about only one thing - there is only one passage in the middle of the map. Players will camp...

Re: Popolo's maps

I also predict terrible camping here. I strongly recommend increasing the amount of passages or else players may avoid this otherwise potentially good map.

I haven't looked at the map, but another option could be left versus right if possible with the loc placement.

If so, this would be very interesting indeed! I can see how important it would be to prevent your enemy from cutting off your access to your allies.

Re: Popolo's maps

Here is a patch that I made: (Mysterious Land)
- Improvement of tiles
- Improved folding (flat land and such that could be built, walk and some rocks)
- Improvement of trees (big and small, and other species)
- Added mass of animals and objects (I've added them in moderation)
- Diversified transition
- I added the fish (they were not ...)
- I added some food into storehouses (the amount you gave was too small)

Edit:
After the first tests on the map (2v2), I reduced the amount of iron in the rocks.
