Is it an idea to replace cursed ravine by cursed ravine v.12? Like To's bitd is now differend on the tournament version.

wih the downlod function someone will just transfer the old map back, so nothing might change.

Yep, Dicso is right, we can't enforce players to play only certain maps (or block maps we subjectively "dislike").

It is the sad truth, sure i would not suggest forcing them to play another map. But the lack of diversity in maps is killing my kam multiplayer appetite, i am hoping that new players join the remake and choose other maps or that some magnificent mapmaker creates a map that will get the attention away from the old cursed ravine.

My biggest concern is the map Cursed Ravine causes people to think 90 pt and 2,5 speed are normal settings ... On almost every other map people play with the same game settings

What do you think about dedicated server for specific map? Server host game with Cursed Ravine - no one can change the map. ratio for dedicated server and free servers 20/40. 20 with specific map, 5 with cursed ravine , 2 for other and etc. I was proposing that few months earlier. U can also set Const game speed for every server. I think its soultion for main problmes with randoms and multiplayer social. Its not forcing, if u want other map with own setting u can start own server or use free servers.
This is used for example in Battle.net, many games(maps) have dediceted servers and bots. Its great coz u dont have to wait to someone make game that u like then wait more for people and then wait for all to consider game setttings. U just join and wait very short time for people and go :>
