Hi.

After the upgrade I experienced a problem in KAM. [Only] the multiplayer 'part' does not work, the exe stops working. I tried to uninstall the whole game (even the GoG version), reinstall .NET Framework, I ran the program in different compabilities such as XP SP2/3, as Administrator etc. I tried everything except reinstalling Windows.


What do you guys suggest for me?

Ad#1: now it did not stop at first. I could open the multiplayer part. But in the lobby I tried to refresh the servers and then it stopped working again.

Do you have anti-virus / firewall software running in the background?
It could be freezing the game while asking the user to allow/deny network connection, and since the game is full-screen, that request could be hid behind it.

Try running the game in windowed mode and pay extra attention if you firewall asks anything (look for pop-ups or task bar items)

it still doesnt work. the weird thing is that the game worked well in the previous version (5547). In the menu - when I click on the Multiplayer game button - I get a white window: 'the program doesnt answer. please wait etc.' Finally, after 5-6 minutes waiting I'm able to get into the lobby and browsing the servers then play. But when I refresh them, the Kam.exe stops again. So everytime when I refresh or quit I will have to wait a few minutes. Sometimes it'll work, sometimes not.

In the resource monitor it says that the program is waiting for finish the network I/O request.

What is this?

The anti-virus / firewall is off.

Maybe u are infected there are some viruses that blocks connections etc
