Two funny/kinda important things I noticed recently. The first one is this:

and the second... this is on Linux, on native Steam client. And it actually works - seems like they ported KaM (and KaM Remake) to Linux using Wine. (I've seen the news about that somewhere, and somebody mentioned something about the Remake, so I had to check it) The download for Steam KaM is about 1GB+ now, and to those that use Linux, it seems well tested enough (normal Wine version was crashing the Remake when I resized it, their version seems to not have this problem; not sure about classic TPR since I don't really care about it).

Can somebody check whether on Windows you also have Remake available on Steam now? Also, (I think I know the answer already, given how it usually is with Topware or whoever deals with the Steam version) do you guys (Krom, Lewin) even knew of this? Either way, it's a welcome addition I guess

I asked dicsoupcan to check it on Windows but it seems like there's nothing new there so far, just the old Classic KaM and "KaM HD". Hopefully that will change in the near future. I noticed that the screenshot disappeared again, I'll upload it on a better host later :c or maybe a video as well if you guys want a better proof

Can you check Linux/Mac version, how much different from vanilla r6720 it is? Is the readme and credits preserved?

I ran a diff on my Remake folder and the Steam Linux one. There's no differences you'd be interested in (only logs, saves etc.), they have two OpenAL installers which I guess they needed somehow, they deleted unins000.*, that's it.

How can I use it on mac osx?

I am not sure it works on Mac the same way. If you have Knights and Merchants on Steam on your Mac, try to play the game and you should be able to choose the Remake there. Make sure KaM is updated if there is any new version of the game available on Steam. If instead of something similar to what my screenshot shows, you see options like "KaM Classic" "KaM HD" then sadly the publisher didn't port the Remake to Mac. (It's still possible and not that hard to play Remake on Mac though, there are plenty of tutorials around, one was published on Remake's site) Please let us know what you found out about it.
