Hello everybody,

a friend of mine had an outdated version of KaM so he tried to download the never version, upon starting the update installer, it told him that he doesn't have the original KaM installed on his computer, which is not true. He can even play the original KaM so it's not damaged.

I posted a few attachments with pictures related to this problem, it shows the error and the file location of the original KaM

Could somebody please help him with this? KaM is one of his favourite games and he really wants to play it again.

Try reinstalling the original KaM he has. Also check if that version is official (not pirated).

But that has never been a problem so far, he was able to play this before, so what could it be?

KaM Remake does not support pirated versions of the game. Consider buying a legal copy of KaM from somewhere like GOG:

Piracy?! Who would do such a thing, especially with such a prestigious game

The original developers won't get paid if I buy it so I don't like the idea of buying it then

But why doesn't it work now? Because it always did before...



[EDIT] Okay, we got the legit installer for him from a disc of KaM I found somewhere, but now he has got another error while trying to install it, a picture of the error is in the attachments, could somebody please help him with this?

Somehow we were able to download kam remake while lacking the original kam, so it's fixed I guess...
