DD: Generic Failure - Can KaM run on a netbook?

So our school has issued us Netbook laptops and I am trying to figure out if KaM is able to run on it. I installed SR3 and the windows 7/Vista fix. The game turns on fine and I can select which campaign(or tutorial) I want to do but after I click continue on the instructions I get a small error box that says "DD:Generic Failure" Have I done something wrong like installing something incorrectly? Or is it impossible to run KaM on a Netbook!? :!: :

Aha!! So I changed the resolution to 800x600(should have thought of that before) and it runs smooth as butter. Im assuming that since the laptops screen is so small it cant support the larger resolutions(again should have known that...).

It actually runs better than I thought it would.

Dude! My school is issuing netbook laptops too!! I think we will get them in a month or so. I thought it was a Michigan thing only, but I guess not (of course I am assuming that you live in the U.S., and that you don't live in Michigan )
