@FeyBart: You're right, I would love to have more videos on our Youtube channel. Currently Shadaoe runs it, but he doesn't have time to make many videos so I would be happy to give you permission to use it. I'll talk to Shadaoe about it.

There are many reasons that boats wouldn't really work:
1. We don't have any graphics for them or anybody to make the graphics.
2. The maps are really too small to accommodate boats
3. It would completely mess up the balance in all of the original missions/maps, they'd all have to have boats blocked or be redesigned so you couldn't land behind your enemy in most missions.

Yea i figured it would not work, for boats to look correct/function correctly the map really is too small. As for graphics, I'm no artist, but i know that perspective in graphics are hard :O

I think boats are good idea, but hard to do. Graphics of ships aren't really hard (make 3D model and convert to 2D), but there are also much other things (people in ship, shipyard etc.). I think around 4 - 12 boats without option to recruit it won't make problems, especially on big maps with much place where players don't build (for example big map for 4p).

I think make transport ships (which don't attack) without units graphics on it is possible for someone good at making 3D models.

Boats would be good for transporting resources to the other players who have a harbor. It could be also used to create two or more villages like in Settlers 2 - 10th Anniversary.
And it also would be handy to jump where the battle is. I sometimes get messages that my serfs are attacked, but can't find where. I would have to press the space key to know it.

There could be new maps especially designed for it, but it would indeed have to be disabled in the campaign, and many existing maps. Making the graphics, meh, I'm not sure how that goes at all, but I'd figure it wouldn't be that hard... Anyway, overall, I think it's a good idea, but not worth all the work it costs. It might be a good one as a long term goal.

Sorry for double posting, but there was a little thing in the Bugs topic that I thought would be very nice to propose here. Would it be possible to have a red circle on the mini-map, where ever there is any fighting by you, or you allies?

And maybe we could extend this idea if it gets implemented, and do the same thing with another color - like yellow - where there is something else that needs your attention, like a building running out of resources, an armory being done with its orders, or a building not being occupied by a worker? This could be pretty useful if it gets implemented, however, I'm not sure how hard this would be to make. Lewin, would you know this? And do you find it a good idea?

I would not like it when you see it on the mini map in my opinion its a part of KaM, watching your army.

I would not like it when you see it on the mini map in my opinion its a part of KaM, watching your army.
Maybe it could be an option you could turn off or on in the settings menu?

I think minimap needs at most 2-3 alert types, not more. Otherwise it turns into a glittering fireworks display.

1. being beacon placed by you and/or allies (duration limited to e.g. 5sec)
2. military conflicts (not sure how to detect and display this one yet)
3. something else?

So many Towers really destroy the game.
Same with market

Abuse market like this
for example
1 market exchange gold
2 market exchange iron
3 market exchange coal
4 market exchange stone
for weapons and food

I don't think Market destroy the game.
About towers - You're right. But don't much players build mass towers because it doesn't useful. I also don't like it. On my maps Marshland 6p and Marshlands 8p, it's impossible to spam with towers - building towers are blocked, but there are some at start of game.

Towers don't ruin the game in my opinion, like Piko said spamming them wont help since it will slow your other things down. Also aren't towers that effective, sometimes 1 militia survives like 4-5 stone.

It's true, but I think battles are more enjoing than wade through towers forest.
