Re: MegaMap Project

Here I am, struggling to fit the minimum amount of coal into my location, when I see that neither To or The Dark Lord followed that standard. I...feel...bamboozled! :o

One thing I noticed: Leeuwgie put an extra 10 gold chests in the storehouse (to make it the usual standard: 60). Should I take the liberty of revoking those extra resources?

Hi Ben Don!t worriy;)! i just want to nearly equal locations. Without huge IMBA.
I saw also To's +10goldchest, and im thinking about it. for me destiny 2-3goldchest still in the barrack when you have the first working metallurgist.15-20mins with gold.
So possible 55-60 will be good also. But Just do it with 50 and after the afterworks we will check it together on Teamspeak. I know To use special serfs labourers counting from the starting goldchests;) Or use faster building ways because more labourers and serfs, possible the two schools also etc...
until how i see the locs possible 40 chests should be enough;) So i think 50 is too much;P
Nowadays games doesnt have serious goldproblems.... I remember when aall games have one players who forgot to train metallurgist or miners or something...

Coal: just try to make enough coalfields to the iron and gold production.(to amount of the ores in the hill;))

Anyway i couldnt follow exactly those numbers.

t

PS:all storhouses will be equal. so we can discuss about it, how do you think about it.Which could be good for this project?;P

Re: MegaMap Project

...Bamboozled? :P

My coal fields have exactly enough coal to use all iron ore and gold ore (coal = 2 * iron ore + gold ore), so that should be okay.

Re: MegaMap Project

Personally I like 60 gold chests. I pretty much make that a standard as if someone forgets to check they'll end up losing the game in 15 minutes if they run out of gold. Besides, The Dark Lord's location looks like it'll be pretty hard with just 50 gold chests ;)

Re: MegaMap Project

Good luck Sado, try to keep the standard high, I know you can do it. About the chests, I can't remember doing it on purpose. Anyway I tried 50 in the past on some maps but it's too few imo and it eliminates the possibility to go for 2 schools from start for sure. Rest of the starting resources is pretty high I'd say except timber is just fine. Oh, before I forget it, nice to see noone sofar encourage players to camp inside their base.

Except Thunder's location ;)

Again, I must say that I agree with To's points about the starting gold chests. I had a dream last night that I was playing the MegaMap, and I ran out of gold because I am used to having 60 :P

Again, good luck sado! Keep up the good work lol

Re: MegaMap Project

No one can say that sado doesn't put effort into his maps, because it is clear to me that sado looked at each tile on his section of the map; tweaking them and adding detail.

...I finnnnnkk! Nah, seriously: good job sado :D

Re: MegaMap Project

That bridge is ridiculous indeed, and I think the snow should be replaced with dirt, but other than that well done. :)
