O.... I am just beginning.

I have a list of things:
Barbarians should be able to fly over water.
Every time someone recruits a unit, you should get one too.
Every non-fighting unit that encounters a wolf should die.
You should be able to dig an indestructible tunnel directly into an enemies base.
Every time someone trains a serf, all other players should get a nuke that can completely annihilate another player.
Trees should move.
Roads should sometimes turn into lava.
Every storehouse should have a capacity limit of 1, except for corn.
Inns should serve tacos or pizzas.
Giant snakes should pop out of nowhere and kill ya.
If someone types "peacetime" in chat then bears should appear that eat his buildings.
Barbarians should only wear a pink hat.
Replace the smith with the smith from the matrix.
Every warrior should say: I am the law!
If someone has 12farmers, 4fishers, 15animal breeders and 1butcher he should win.

Just kidding, that last one doesn't count... :D


Of course none of the points listed above apply to KaM

campaign ai have problem they not response when you atacking their city or near army
and i want edit campaign missions can you add this maps on map editor
and if game framerate up a bit more kam will be best 2d strategy game :D

Yes the AI is incomplete, (barely started) we will improve it one day.
If you have framerate issues it probably means you don't have graphics drivers installed. What OpenGL version does it display at the top of the menu? I've run this game on a netbook with an intel atom processor and no graphics acceleration at 1024x768 (external monitor because the screen was too small) and it worked fine at a reasonable framerate. Can you give me more details please?

@RiT4LiN: I've explained why we will not be implementing such features in earlier posts. Please read the earlier parts of the thread.
Can we have an elevate function for workers so they can lower a certain spot?
As I said before, KaM is not a landscaping game. You can build roads if you want to flatten the ground, or build somewhere else. I think it would be strange if you could just flatten the ground, remove trees, etc etc when ever you want. In KaM you must work WITH the terrain, not destroy it and bulldoze it. In the middle ages they probably wouldn't have built a house on really steep ground because it would have been unstable and flattening a whole hillside would have been a lot of work with a shovel, compared to just building somewhere more suitable.

Of course not, we would have no legal basis to do this. The game idea, sprites, sounds, music, voices, etc. do not belong to us, we only own the source code. (and I guess our translators own the copyright to the translations) The only way it might ever become commercial is if ZuXXeZ approached us and asked to sell it as a new title, however I seriously doubt that will ever happen as there's not a lot of money around for old games compared to their newer titles. Also if that happened there would probably be some kind of contract and they'd tell us what they wanted added or changed, which might not fit with our long term plans. (they might have a different vision of what a remade KaM should be like)

Yeah but the fans are not the ones taking the risk. If they don't think it will sell they'd ask us to change it. They'd probably want it to appeal to a broad audience, not just the niche of existing KaM fans.
And as you've seen fans all have different ideas, some people want us to make an entirely different game and some people want to keep everything exactly the same as KaM.

But as I said I really really really doubt this will ever happen.

List of suggestions/ideas


Multiplayer suggestions/ideas
- The ability to trade materials/resources with your 'team mates'
- The ability to play a co-op campaign online with your friends
- "Buddy list"/"clan"
- Chat lounge outside of servers/lobbies
- Some sort of banning method for those who are a disruption
- Player list that shows whether or not somebody is idle, or in game.
- The ability to send a game invite to people on this player list and/or buddies

General suggestions/ideas

- Separate the warrior and barbarian from the townhouse
- Possibly make the barbarian a soldier that can be trained in the barracks and have his axe created in the black smith. For his "skirt" you can simply use a leather shirt


I like the idea listed above about adding a red, translucent border that shows the max distance the inhabitant of the structure will go. I was thinking with coal you could decrease the opacity the farther away since the miner doesn't get as much coal.


*I have quite a few more but I need to find them, they are written down somewhere..
