Well it won't do anything bad to a default install of TPR, but in case you're trying to install it on your work in progress mod you're better off doing it manually.
I guess you're all quite bored waiting for beta 7 so I thought I'd throw in a status report for once. Some work has been done, a lot of minor bugs have been fixed but there isn't nearly as much stuff as in the latest betas. I'm still unfinished with mission 16 but the rest are done. Mainly having problems with the "Old English" scripts of the tutorial. No offence meant to Lewin, but I think many of the revisions sound too tacked on and I'm clueless as to how make them better myself.
As for the manuals that were supposed to be updated, good news is that the English and German manuals are pretty much done. I don't have the source files for the rest of the languages so I'll have to see what I can do.

But isn't this a task for the other webmasters? zB NL and PL message board users??
And what beta 7 means...."but there isn't nearly as much stuff as in the latest betas" is this not a sign, that the game will be free ofb terrible bugs? I think this is a good sign!

Yeah I've already recreated a Hungarian manual and sent it off to a Hungarian fan for fixing. Started recreating the Dutch manual which I'll still have to send to someone. That still leaves the Russian and the Polish manual up in the air and I don't even have the texts for the Polish manual.

Well I guess I'm not going to release another beta for some time due to certain circumstances so I put up the Hungarian beta. Note that it's not the same build as the rest of the beta 6 builds, it's something in between which I whipped up when I needed assistance in the translating.

I don't know how you got it that way. I can get that same result when I use d3dwindower. Normally however, it runs in normal colours, but with ~1fps, which causes the mouse to be unusable.

Trying different resolutions is known to help in problems with miscolored stuff.

I was hoping for the source code release, but seeing as ZuXXeZ now just ignores us, I might have to release beta 7 after all.

Is this necessary to make patch as a BAT file? BAT don`t work to good in GNU/Linux systems, i need to manually change filenames. This was terrible work.

Well the final patch will be in a .exe installer but I don't know how much easier that will make stuff under Linux.

I running game by application called WineHQ. Game work and old SR works great too, so... If you make files like SR and SR2, then all will work great. :}

That is correct. Wine runs KaM better than the Linux demo of KaM!
Wine will also run installers, I haven't found one that it won't run fine.
So don't worry to much about Linux compatibility, true Linux nerds will still make it work.
Mac could be a problem though...
Lewin.

I have read in source code forum, that litude couldn't finish beta 7, because he needs the source code. So I want to know, why he don't fix the bugs, which DON'T need the source code? Litude could cancel the source code features from the todo list and release the SR3 with old the other bug fixes. Isn't ok for you?
