Question: how do I connect to server?
When I go to "Multiplayer", the "Internet" option is disabled.. I can only choose LAN..
Also: I just started a single player game, and my units don't play sounds (like "forward" or "yes?").. I don't know if that's supposed to?

@Siegfried: We will add a "spectator" option for players instead of choosing a location, but for now adding a dummy team (with the entire map revealed) is a good way to do it.
And I'm sure no one will mind testing your map some time

Use LAN mode even though you are playing over the internet. Just type the server address into the IP box and click join.
Voices are not working properly in r2087, they will be fixed in the next demo.

Thanks, Lewin
Can you post a screenshot of the map we're playing tonight, so no one has an advantage? How do you make those 'entire map' screenshots?

Here's a screenshot of the entire map we'll be playing: (with location numbers)

GreatWhiteBear is right, you either start the map by yourself or open it in the editor, zoom out, then resize the window until it is the same aspect ratio as the map so you can see the whole map in the window, then take the screenshot. (you'll need to be running it in windowed mode for this)

An important question: is it possible to make use of the roads built by other players?

I'd think so.

Yes it is. You can use roads, fields and winefields of other players, whether they are friends or enemies.
Player 2 and 3 are a bit far from gold.
Yes, but as The Dark Lord is suggesting they can connect to their ally's village and it won't be far at all. Because you start nearby you can share your road network.

Hey guys, I'm planning on capturing tonight's game. So I tried FRAPS, but after only 10 seconds of footage, I ended up with a 1.2GB file
Does anyone know better software? It's not that I don't have enough diskspace left (almost 1TB), but I think 1.2GB per 10 seconds (30FPS) is a bit much..
