Today not much of a talk, and just when we finally were in the middle of a nice discussion, webchat had broken and everyone active except me was dropped ^^ Bad luck.

Thats a pity. I had to stay late at work and when back at home did not had enough time to join before supper ( After that chat looked like broken ..

I thought I was the only one who had problems, but it just didn't work some minutes after I joined

as soon as I have my bouncer back, I will try to secure the channel again for our purposes. To do so, I will ask all idlers to leave the channel at a certain time. The channel needs to be completely empty at one point.

Please, if you follow this forum, inform me if you have a bnc in the channel. I recognize sado1, but there are some more in the channel right now. We need this to stay in contact so no stranger will take over the channel. The person currently logged on as 'Siegfried' is not me! I use some random nicks atm. I will try to re-establish Siegfried as soon as my new bnc arrives.

The background story is the following: I was the person who established this channel some time ago. We had Q joining the channel and everything was ok. I had a bnc sitting in the channel, but no one else so I couldn't give op to someone else at that time. In the beginning of the second quarter of this year, I had some problems logging into my bnc, which I was told to be fixed soon. But suddenly, the bnc was cancelled, the company behind sold out, so my bnc was cancelled. In the end, I was not able to connect for some month, which lead to the fact that Q left. By that time, we had no additional idlers in the channel, so nothing to worry about.

But then people joined the channel with their bounces, which basically is a fine thing. Op was given to one of those idlers. I tried to re-gain op so I could get Q joining the channel again, but I failed. Finally the op was completely lost, so the situation now is, that there is no control over this channel.

We have not experienced any negative consequences so far, but still it would be nice to secure the channel again. I ordered a new bnc, as soon as it is ready, I want to do this.

So don't be surprised if I contact you to leave the channel at a certain point so I can take it over.

we finally managed to contact all permanent accounts on the channel and all of them are friendly - it's really great to see so many good people in this community, this is indeed laudable.

So we finally can arrange a time when we can recover the channel: Please all you you disconnect from the channel until
09.August 2012 at 15:00 CEST (middle-european summertime, that is UTC+2)

and please reconnect then as soon as possible but not before 16:00. It's important to reconnect because we have to have some accounts in the channel to have it secured.

we gained the control over the channel earlier than planned. So forget about the time posted above, we're already done by now.
