Lots of interesting ideas, keep them coming! If mutators are crazy enough, then maybe everyone will prefer the original game

And mutators will be used only for pleasure/craziness of it for 1-2 times.

- Disallowing production of bows and crossbows (only melee

)
- Every player can choose one military unit and they are restricted to making that unit for the whole game (like monobattles in Starcraft II). A 'randomize' function would be great here, so people can't plan ahead before the game has started and it will also give funny army combinations. On the other hand, people will probably have to restart now and then because it might be too unbalanced (for example scout and knight vs lance carrier and pikeman

)

I like your ideas, especially only melee. Randomize is also fun, but leather vs iron sometime ca be problem- some maps have low iron or even 0 iron. I want see my random Pikemen on River of Gold

I will be able to create... noone:P

Ha-ha, this is a great idea, of course, units are very unbalanced against each other. Not to mention maps that are balanced for certain troops (leather/iron as Luki mentioned) Still, it would be interesting to see a match of Militia against Knights, not sure who will win the prize ))
So, what do you guys think about "crazy mutators", ones that not meant for everyday use, but only for fun once in a while, will they put that much separation into multiplayer? Or maybe there's a chance something new emerges from that craziness, like DotA for example?

I think people will first only play mutators and they will become seperated; but after a while they want to play some normal games again and then everything is fine.

I know my idea isn't really balanced but I'm sure we can work out something, or people should use it on maps where everyone has access to the same resources.

If mutators:
- Will be optional (like PT) why not?
- If you can do this, and it will not take you a long time - why not?
and I still have something:
When will be option - combine armies? ( f.e. Axemen, archers together)
and some special:
add to remake filtr white/black - something like that:

It was nice to play in gray.

Why not?
And greyscale isn't good idea, IMO useless.

Why would anyone play in grey? It doesn't make sense.

Agreed, it's annoying and offtopic.

I think crazy mutators are a good idea (but not oo much at a time), because like Krom said, maybe it'll create a populer gamemode like Dota for warcraft 3 :p
(the "crazy" things people created for W3 are what keep a good part of it's community alive btw)

Well it's like crappy maps. It doesn't take a lot of time to make them, you don't have to use them but they're just annoying on your screen.
