Hii Lewin,

I'm very happy that you took the time to listen to the Dutch Speeches, even when you can't understand them
And yes, it took a long time to record only 1 unit. Up to the other 10 (6) :D (H)
With the rest of my recordings I'll have the tips you given to me in my head and I'll concentrate more at the maximum volume.

I'll tell my friend the same tips when he's going to record some of the speeches

many many thanks
Anvar

Hello dutchies,

I just downloaded your speeches and had fun listening to them! I can understand it as I'm dutch myself, but I do have some concerns:

- It sounds like you're not putting your soul in it. When I want to hear 'forward' I'd like to hear "FORWAARDDD!" instead of just a plain 'ol 'forward.'

Try making it less monotone and fully envelop yourself in a medieval setting. Imagine that you're on the battlefield yourself while screaming forward!
Of course this is just a tip and you're welcome to use it. I look forward in hearing the final versions!

Greetings,

Lenn

You can overcome the crackling when you shout/scream by holding the microphone further away, and making sure the breath does not directly hit it (hold it to the side so the air expelled from your mouth goes past it, rather than hitting it) If the microphone is reasonable quality you should find the voice still sounds ok with the mic held further away. You might also be able to tweak the microphone recording volume in Windows or your sound recorder, which has a similar effect to moving it further away but with less quality loss.

It sounds more like "waaaay" to me :P
I don't think it's meant to meant to be a word, it's just a random battle cry.
