I've only had a player pause a game once in all of my AoK online play

Is there a pause function in AoK?? :O I regularly play The Conquerors with a buddy and now recently the new "Forgotton Empires", and I've never found a pause function in there :O Sorry for slightly off topic :)

Maybe a small idea/frustation. I am pretty new and want to scroll through the differents map in MP. To select a map you need to click and select in the dropdown box (EVERYTIME). Navigation with the arrow key would be a lot easier.

It is a small suggestion, but i registered just to post it ;-). This will give a indication of the level of frustration as a player unknown to the maps.
I have brought this up a few pages back, but there wasn't any feedback/discission and it is still not able in build r5116. I saw that in the map editor this is possible, but not in de dropdown box in the multiplayer lobby.
Selecting a map for the host is a bit harder now, especially when you don't know the maps and you want show maps to everyone in the lobby. The method of the map editor (navigation, not the whole list at the side) would be nice!

We gave it a try. Using arrow keys is not as easy as it sounds, first of all because dropdown list would need to have a focus, that means the focus will be stolen from chat input. Second issue is with focus change between open list and closed (due to internal architecture limitations). And the third issue is aesthetical - browsing maps without seeing at least some portion of a list is hard.

What we do have in mind for next update is an extended dropdown list which will have its own minimap or will not occlude the standard minimap and let change maps without selecting them just yet.

About pause button:
Our country has some rules from jobs...
I think maybe 5minutes coffee break need after every hour. And then everybody can do anything. moving relaxing and zooming out from monitor.
Dont need pause button, this could be automatic function and then KaM Remake can tell "child friend";P

hello. My ideas for Kam Remake:
1) After PT we have quite a few towers, arms in the castle, but we lack the gold to train recruits. A quick way to this problem is the destruction of the towers that recruits could go to the fortress. My idea: add an option to send a recruit from the tower of the castle (instead of destroying the towers). The same option in the opposite direction: to leave (add number) for rookie of the castle, so he can go to the tower.
2) I am glad that he is no longer an option blockade of goods to the castle. We can now build two forts (the army heavy and light), just as it is with recruits? Did they change they will go to one and another castle? It's nice if you could choose yourself how many recruits have to go to one of the castle and how much to the other castle.
3) For example, we have some of mine coal, iron, gold, but we have boxes of gold to train for each miner. Thus, the maximum amount we can train miners is limited, and we want this to come to mine iron - one miner, to a gold mine - one, to mine coal - 1 How it works now: three miners, for example, enter the three coal mines, and the rest is empty and we have to destroy them.

How about adding accounts to KaM? This will prevent impersonating, and will let us make a ranking of players basing on looses, wins, and draws. Draw will have to be added then. I see it so that all players have got a "draw" button and if all players which are online push it the match is draw. Or sth like that... :P

This won't work because of many rehosts and disconnects. Probably the whole account system won't work because it requires a lot of work, even though it could be nice indeed.

Still, it's not such a bad idea. But I do think this is (one of the) very last things that should be implemented ever.

Still, it's not such a bad idea. But I do think this is (one of the) very last things that should be implemented ever.
The problem is it's a massive amount of work for us and much more ongoing support (registration server, leaderboards etc.). It's will attract hacking/exploitation which we will need to resolve. Right now we don't think it's justified or important, but obviously we'd love to have it.

Well, about points 1 and 3 I don't see those situations as game flaw, but instead bad base development planning. So no real need for improvement. In case of miners - if there's no similar system already implemented - they could be programed to go to different type of mine than one trained before if possible. But I don't find it beeing worthy of developers time.

About the 2nd it has to be anwsered how the recruits choose their destination in current version? I never build second barracs, however I assume the recruit will go to the nearest one. So, since two schools at least are standard, a player should probablly build second school closer to the secondary barracs.

Actually this has been mentioned many times before. Krom informed me that the ability to have wares/people leave a building is planned, but the programming needed is more complex than it may seem, so it will be some time before they (Krom and Lewin) get around to it.
