you mean using map editor to find resrouces? not really, many players use that. It does not give you a real advantage because otherwise you can just memorize where everything is wich will be the same thing. It is not like you know what the enemy has or something.

I think it's safe to say that almost all players do that if they don't know the map/loc well enough. What's more, some players make complete city layouts for a loc, and just build it by looking at the prebuilt one in the editor. And it's not really a cheat in my opinion

It's not cheating to use the map editor to check the map while playing, that's why we allowed it and only restricted access to multiplayer to one process.
