I would like to ask for a feature. Prolly not that hard to implement but i dont know :p.

I would like to be able to change the game speed (not F8 which goes way to fast).
But like a horizontal scroll bar like: slow normal fast faster very fast.

Cuz when i play KAM i always use cheat engine to speed up the game. The normal game speed is just way to slow for me...

If its to hard to do this, then forget it :p ill just keep using cheat engine then

Well i would like the 2* en 3* speed. Maybe if possible also a 2.5* speed :S
I don't really know how fast the game speed would be.

EDIT: just do the 2* and 3* if possible in the next demo. I'll see then if its ok :)

Why do you need 3 such similar speeds anyway?

Lets make it 2 fixed speeds - x4 x16 (each following one will be 4 times faster than previous)

We can assign them to F7 F8 keys.

well i run the game a bit faster so it seems to have smoother animations, not so u can see each pixel move...

In cheat engine it was *3 as i remembered.

I dont need *16 cuz we got enough with the F8 for a temp boost.
I need a different permanent increased game speed :wink:. But once again, i don't know how fast the speeds increases are in kam remake

KaM Remake has 2 ways of controlling the speed:
1. via F8, each tick we compute 10 "frames". This method can be used for round number of speed multiplication.
2. via tick counter, which is set to 100ms now. It can be used to fine tune the speed at accuracy of 1%.

I don't see a place where we could add all-time-accessible speed control (especially without braking games pace, but thats another story). But we could allow you to edit tick multiplicator and tick time in INI file, so you could edit it before starting a game (and edit it in main menu options) and have e.g. normal pace at 55ms and multiplicator at x8. Will that be ok?

I've found a bug. I was building a barrack but destroyed it before/while the serfs were bringing the materials. Now I've got the following error message:

"ASSERTION FAILED! Msg: Unit Serf has no action! (C:\Documents and Settings\Krom\Desktop\Delphi\KaM Remake\KM_CommonTypes.pas, line 134)"

I saw this bug in the list:
"? Time freeze bug"

If that means the bug I reported, then I found something interesting. The game stops indeed and all graphics stand still. But when I hit "F8", it continues.

I think Litude reportet that one before.

I just wanted to make clear that this is the same bug and not an additional one.
