I'm very impressed by this! Keep it up! I've always wanted to play a bugless version of KaM :)

It's even better to see that this project is really in development and not cancelled or something (which you see a lot at projects like this).

it's really very much like the old KaM I played when I was younger! nice work! one thing that always bothered me in KaM was tha way the units walk. it's allways very messy. They also don't fight in a way I would like them to. Why can't I stop a unit form attacking a citizen? And why won't all units fight somtimes when all the others are fighting? Could these things please be changed? Also I created many many (I don't know how many) scouts, and when I linked them all up to one group, I got an error saying something like WALK TO (0,0) wasn't working. I'll send the save99.xxx files: bas, rpl and sav...

Thanks for bugreport, walkto 0:0 is fixed :)

As for other bugs you've mentioned, please provide some screens or savegames/replays

@Hype: I understand what you mean about some of the things that bothered you in KaM, I've already improved a few things and made warriors smarter. Right now making the AI and multiplayer is higher priority than improving the troop interface, but once we've got the game working well I'll try to revisit some of these features and improve them, e.g. warriors joining fights faster.

@powerte: Multiplayer is in development. Yesterday I proved I can send data from one computer to another using a test application, but the network library I've written is still very basic. (no data integrity checks etc. yet) We still have to write the multiplayer code to manage player lists and send relevant data between each player. Krom and I have been discussing the way the multiplayer protocol will work and we have decided on a system that will work with our current game input process.
Hopefully LAN games will be supported in the next major demo :)
Lewin.

Hi!
When will be this game ready? I'm looking forward to it. Will be a 3D version with nice graphics? I planned to create another KaM, after i finished my project. I'm developing a new programming language.

No of course not. Perhaps you should actually try to read this thread, or at least the first post:
KaM Remake is planned to reach at least KaM TSK level without any changes nor radical new features

Will be a 3D version with nice graphics?
3D graphics have ruined most RTS games, in my opinion. I love AoK 2 FAR better than AoK 3, for example. They butchered the whole game, to be honest. What was wrong with resource drop offs? Really? Doesn't there need to be a town or camp where people gather things? Throw realism out the window why don't we...

I think they want to copy Starcraft.. they failed in my opinion.. AoE2 still rocks and i play it still with friends.

We're kinda getting off topic, but you're right. AoK does rock, and I, too, play with friends (when they let me  ). I'd play online but my connection is too slow.

They're busy working on networking and the lobby lately. I'm already curious.
