Haha that´s the reason, why you can accept or not accept the ally message!

It is on our todo list to support changing teams. When a player wants to join a team, all the players on that team must click to accept him before he is allowed to join. Leaving teams can be done without permission. We'll probably have a "lock teams" option in the lobby if you want to prevent people from switching teams.

Leaving teams without permission is also a problem, imagine my ally comes into my village with hundreds of militias while I'm attacking an ennemy, he leaves the team, and I lose. Some people are going to do that if there's no permission needed.

I think it will be good idea if host can block in game lobby build towers and/or marketplaces. The game will be harder without those buildings.

True... maybe team changes require permission from all players involved. (old team and new team) That's getting very complicated.

Yes we're planning options like that, as well as blocking archers, blocking iron, blocking leather, etc. so you can have different sorts of games without changing the map.

Complicated, but it could prevent many ruined games, there are already enough not to add more.

Yes if we add team changing we'll sort it out, don't worry

Yes, switching teams should be used when, for example, you play 4v4 and 2 players from the same team leave. Then one player from the other team could switch teams to make it 3v3. It shouldn't be used 'just for fun', although I can imagine it would be useful in FFA games as well. So for normal games everyone has to agree, for FFA games nobody needs to agree with what you're doing, that's why it's FFA (so maybe there should be a special FFA mode).

If someone changes teams, the old team will still be able to see the players village... But I suppose there is nothing that can be done about it

Would it be really so hard to program it? Not only to set new team to each player?
player 3 set team 1
If { button is pressed(Friends)
}
sth like that is not possible?

If we did that, then three things become possible:
1. You and I are having a battle and I am losing. I press the Friends button, your troops stop attacking me, I move mine away, and press the button back to enemies. "Oops, my finger slipped on the mouse..."
2. I press Friends, move my troops past your towers, and press enemies again.
3. You and I are playing as allies, and your troops are away attacking the enemy. I move my troops into your village and press Enemies, and destroy your village for the lulz.
Sure I wouldn't do these things, but I'm 100% sure some people would. There's enough people leaving games, trolling, etc., lets not make it any easier!

Hi i had an idea....
What if you could build training post so you could send some resources to your allies. For eg. 1 caravan can contain uo to 5 items and one sending costs 1 gold. It would work similar to market place. But when enemy destroys caravan the items would just dissapear.
I know that this means making many new sprites (for building and caravan) and isn't your priority but i belive that souch thing would fit to the style of KaM.
Cheers!

i know there are plenty of ideas as of now, but i still want to suggest one thing.
If your ally is in trouble you send troops to help them out, and often those troops stay there for a while so your ally can recover. My suggestion is that you can reinforce your ally by giving him troops (as in he has full command of it). this way you can help your ally and still focus on your own town/defenses/offense.

We might make the trading post without the caravan (resources go instantly to your ally's trading post, with a % of the resources lost same as trading at the market) It's been on our ideas list for a while.
Mixed/shared player control and swapping soldiers is something we might look into in the future.

Hi,
I had a small sugestion:
Pointing locations for other players.
Example:
- The enemy is attacking your ally's town but he didn't notice. You point on the map and your ally can see it.
- You want your ally to destroy a building, you point on the map wich building you mean.
- You want your ally to attack on an exact location, you point it on the map so he sees exactly what you mean.
I think there are more reasons why this should be included.
Thanks for reading!
