- Supporting additional music formats isn't a priority, we might consider it later when we're looking for a music playing library that is less Windows dependant.
- You can move the camera with the arrows, just make sure you don't have the chat window open as then the arrows are used to move the cursor in the edit box.
- Seeing the same as your allies: Thanks for reminding me, I'd forgotten we need that :) It's on the todo list.
No problem for the music formats, I understand it isn't really the most important thing :p

Hey guys. Maybe its not fitting into this Thread - but yeah I wanted to reinstall my KaM TSK but I could not start it (using XP) so I think there is no way to get it running?

and what about your Multiplayer Demo is it ONLY for fighting or real demo for a full Multiplayergame of Kam?? If yes could one be so kind and lead me to correct installation/downloading etc. to get this running?
KaM was my favorite game when I was younger and I need to play it again ^^

Whoa... I haven't been here for a long time, and what do I see now...
Very, very, very impressive progress! Haven't really tested multiplayer, but I must say that mission 4 TSK is almost fully playable. The main difference is in fighting system and the new bowman "features" :wink:. Friendly fire makes it more difficult - maybe they should be a bit more accurate, but on the other hand in the original game two bigger groups of them usually meant quick victory - that wasn't so good, too. The arrows also fly noticeably slower here.

The only bugs I noticed:
- Messages' icons appearing below the screen, making only the half of it visible. I did nothing, it just happened, and reloading the game moved them back to the right place.
- Once the network "send message" window popped in the middle of a single player game. But... is the replay overwritten after starting a new game? If so, I've got only log files:

Due to the server issues in r2039 we have released a new demo to fix them, r2087:

Did you resize the window before/while loading? Were you using full screen? I wasn't able to reproduce it. The network chat screen shouldn't come up in singleplayer any more, thanks. Oh, you may be right - message arrived, deleted it, used F11 and then new one is in the wrong place. Once it went back on its place after alt-tabbing.

Thanks for the server xzaz :) There is also a server in Germany running on 85.214.135.75. (thanks to Akkarin from the German KaM forum)
We all need to arrange a time to come online at the same time and play together now that we have servers. It's a shame I get ~900ms ping to Europe :P
Let us know if you successfully play a game online, I'd love feedback.

I know from the UT Jailbreak Mod that they have their "Sunday Lockdown".

This is rather unspectacularly organized as it's only an announcement on their webpage with a link to an existing dedicated server, but nevertheless still almost every sunday at the announced time there gather some people to play Jailbreak.

So why not announce a "Sunday Build'n'Demolish" at 9pm CET? As soon as the word spreads over the forums, there sure will be some people meeting then.

Put a small text and graphics inside the lobby and people will know date and time.

Just an idea ...

No problem! Great that you played on the server and had no problems!

We need indeed some form of organisation, as Lewin said at least a master server that is controlling the users. and gives us a overview on available servers.
I wish as a admin i can control my server, see the population etc.. (maybe in a web interface etc)

We can also create a banner on this website. Or be recognized by Xfire as a fully working game? This game is worth it!

edit: Lewin, I also found out that the game 'hangs' every minute on :59 seconds.. maybe it just me but I wanted to notice you about this issue. I can't figure it out why this happens.

AI is not working in Multiplayer

Hi,
i have tried the LAN with my friend and over 2h of playing we found out that the Computer we had added didn't do anything..
The computer does only this: Feeds own soldiers, Train new units if they are killed

But the workers does nothing..

@Siegfried: I like the idea of an announcement page in the lobby. I now have the master server working and it's keeping track of running dedicated servers which report their status to it. I just need to make it display the list of servers in the joining screen and it'll be done. I also plan to rework the joining page, integrate WAN and LAN play into one screen that shows a list of servers and detailed information about the servers. We can put the announcement message (loaded from the master server) up the top and it can say things like "Join us every Sunday at 9pm CET for a game!" and "New patch coming out next week".
For now lets try to arrange it through the forums. Everyone join the server www.avatune.nl at 9pm CET each Sunday, and PLEASE post back here to let me know how it goes. You can put the Remake in windowed mode and leave it running in the background until other people join. The only problem is that 9pm CET is 5am for me, so I don't think I'll be able to join you :P But please let me know how it goes.

@xzaz: I will be adding more control to the dedicated server eventually. I plan for it to use an INI file in the next demo but a web interface or something would be best, although a low priority for now.
What do you mean by a banner? Xfire doesn't seem necessary yet, maybe when when the game is a bit more stable etc. What advantages were you thinking it would give us?
I have saved your bug report but not looked into it yet, thanks for reporting it. It is the first r2087 bug report I have received! So either this demo is very stable or no one is playing/reporting bugs...

Yes unfortunately the AI is not fully written yet, it lacks auto build to place buildings, intelligent military, dynamic attacks, etc. We don't know much about AI programming so we've left it for now. If anyone can help us out let me know.

I'd also like to ask for someone's help on another matter: We would like a person to create videos of the Remake for us and put them on Youtube in HD with a link to our project. We haven't decided on all of the details yet, but we can suggest to you what we would like in the videos. Just one every patch to show off the new features, and one long one to start with that shows off what we currently have, so it shouldn't be a lot of work unless you want to do extra. If you think you can help out please contact me: lewinjh@gmail.com. We'd like to do this in an organised and "semi-professional" manner, so if you want to help please email me before you start recording so we can discuss it further. Send me an ICQ number/Skype username/Google chat address/etc if possible. If you're happy to talk over the microphone for the video (tell users what new features we have, what you are currently showing them, etc.) that's a bonus, but it's more work and by no means essential. (we could use captions if necessary)
I hope I haven't put people off by making the criteria sound too strict. If you think you can help us please contact me. I think videos like these will help promote the project and build up a community. Right now it's hard to see what our Remake contains without downloading it and playing for yourself.

hi, we was playing for quite long time a then it crashed :(

Whole game was bit 'laggy', does somebody have any suspicion what was it? We restarted our computer but still. Could it be caused be variable ping? But we was playing on LAN... Sometimes it was going fluently, but sometimes it was twitching a lot.

PS: good work, very nice game/mod :D
