In KaM TPR units last for 45 minutes before dying, that is the same as the Remake and we don't plan to change it. We measured this value ourselves.
However, in KaM TPR units start with around 60% condition. (we also measured this) In the Remake (r3392 and earlier) units start with an average of 87.5% condition. This has been changed to 60% to match KaM TPR.
So units will still eat at the same rate, but on their FIRST time after being trained they will go to eat sooner than before. This will make a small difference at the start of the game, because units will go to eat about 12 minutes earlier than before. (same with troops)
If anybody disagrees with these measurements please do them yourself and post the results here.

What about a spectator mode by the way? I thought this was planned but I'm not sure. It would be awesome to spectate the powah tournament final for example (presuming I won't play in it

)!

also FoW.
I had a new idea for a building.
It allows you to trade with your team mate, you both build one half of the building and once both halves are finished, you can trade with each other.

Yeah i think the trading with human players isnt really a new idea. It will be maybe implement later.

Spectator mode is definitely planned.
A player to player trade building for multiplayer will probably be added.
Fog of war will be trialled, it might not work well in KaM (you can't have the same big open KaM battles when you can only see a small distance)

Okay.

Also it would be great to fast-forward replays. I know we discussed this before and it's impossible because a replay is not a video, but you also mentioned some sort of 'checkpoints' could be made. I think just one checkpoint around 50-60 minutes would be enough. That's when peace time ends and fun begins, and currently if you only want to see the battles you'll have to watch everything else as well. I don't think this will make the replays too large, right?

Just use x300 speed

I do, but x300 is not really x300. x300 would mean that 1 sec = 300 sec, so I'd have to wait 12 seconds until peace time is over, but unfortunately that's not how it works for me.

It's more like F8 but a little faster.

300x speed doesn't really help you because in an 8 player multiplayer game the engine struggles to simulate it at 10x or even 6x speed once battles start.
Yes "checkpoints" should be possible although they're not a high priority for us because there's always the option of just sitting through the boring parts

I've added it to the proposals list so it doesn't get forgotten.

Yeah the engine can't simulate at 300x except in really simple scenarios. Consider that every unit and house in the game must be updated 10x per second, (usually this just increases the animation step) so at 300x that means every unit/house is updated 3000x per second

Then there's also terrain updates and so on... (trees/corn/grapes growing)

I knew 300x speed was too good to be true.

x300 works only on simplest maps. To be more correct it should have been named xMaxSpeedCPUCanHandle, but thats too long for a title
By the way, it's an interesting idea, just to add one checkpoint to replays at the time when peacetime ends. But it is a really low priority feature for now..

I admit, I am too lazy to check if this idea was already proposed. Different sounds for game events and for chat. If someone joins the game/quits/whatever, the current event sound is played, when someone talks in chat, some other, new sound is played (I'd say the chat sound should be less intrusive than the current sound, usually join/quit events are much more important than chat events - they should be highlighted).

I am interested in this point too. Btw Is it technicly possible to change sounds by myself on my computer?

Yeah I asked our sound guy if he could try making a few different should for chat, preferable a less intrusive one for just chatting. He hasn't got around to it yet but hopefully he will
You can find the sounds in the Sound folder and replace them. The names should be fairly obvious.
