Here is something that could be considered a bug. If a player chooses black for his color, he has a significant advantage in that his color is the exact same as the mini map's unexplored area.
That's not really an advantage as you can't see units in unexplored areas anyway. You can only see them 1 tile later (because you can see black units on the minimap as soon as they are 2 tiles away from the unexplored). I must say black works great on coal though.
The Dark Lord has fooled me a few times with this (he is always black).

Use brown on TNP and you are able to sneak into an enemies base.

Well you stashed those scouts on the only place we didn't scout. That's very clever, sure. But my allies should have noticed them going there (it was the entrance to their villages). Personally I check the minimap very often to prevent people from sneaking inside. Also he could have hidden a few lance carriers/pikemen in his village to kill them swiftly. His army was in the east and he trusted upon my knights (which were totally useless by the way) to take care of them. Just a simple watchtower would have helped too...

Anyway, I have never the intention to make it harder for my opponent to see my soldiers. I'll mostly try to sneak in at some point, but if people watch the minimap I think they deserve to be 'rewarded' by being able to prevent the enemy from sneaking in. So in that aspect I agree that team colours could be useful (and fair). On the other hand I agree with Lewin. I like to see individual players as well. For example, when a yellow player has only iron soldiers and a green player has only leather and I see a lot of yellow dots moving on the minimap, I immediately know, without looking, that I might want to send some extra troops! Or just for the fun of it. I can imagine myself thinking 'Okay I've been attacked by blue twice now, I don't think he will - OH GOD NO THERE HE IS AGAIN!'
I'm not sure about the whole pulsating idea. It might work well but I will have to see it with my own eyes. :P

But on big maps like TNP, it is hard to determine brown units from terrain on the minimap.

about team colours... i can see that some people like it, some prefer to see individual players... So why not just make it optional (in the settings, maybe?)

I also think it should be sequencial again... many times you plan a building up strategy based on a Solid Rhythm.
Example: 10 axes/10 bows, instead of random 13 axes/7 bows -> Otherwise I have to check the Workshop each 5-10 minutes to reconfigure the production, which makes the gameplay more tedious.
I just implemented this into the Remake, it's now sequential not random. Thanks for the suggestion guys.

Sequential means that if you put 255 axes and 255 bows into production, the carpenter makes: axe, bow, axe, bow, axe, bow etc?

I don't know if I should be posting this, because it involves The New Lands campaign which isn't really your fault if it's a bit bugged :P but I'm gonna go ahead anyways, who knows it might help you.

The New Lands bugs:
-No mission descriptions ahead of the mission
-No text messages during the mission
-Mission 14 can't load.
[an error occurred while loading [mission14.dat path]

Exception: map file couldn't be found
I checked my maps folder and everything seems to be in place. So I'm not sure why this happens.

I don't know if I should be posting this, because it involves The New Lands campaign which isn't really your fault if it's a bit bugged :P but I'm gonna go ahead anyways, who knows it might help you.
It's not The Dark Lord's fault either, we just don't support custom campaigns properly yet. When we do it will be possible to set briefings, messages, etc. These aren't bugs with The New Lands, the Remake just doesn't support campaigns like The New Lands properly yet.

Oh but I wasn't implying that at all! What I wanted to say was that I understood that it's not anyone's fault but just that it's unsupported currently in the Remake. Though I still reported it because it might have been useful information nevertheless. :)

well, its not a real problem, but... somethimes i open kam remake and it opens without having fully loaded ( it stops near fonts or something )

then the loading sort of freezes and i have to chuck the window and hide it on the bottom-right corner :D

It happens when you start something while the game is loading.
I don't have much trouble with it because my pc loads it in <10sec

something else... Many times when the game begins, kam remake is minimized. I don't know why that happens, though. And its not much of a problem also.

I know about the splash screen not disappearing, but I've never been able to reproduce it or fix it.
I've never had the game start minimized for me. Are you running it in full screen? I think it will start minimized if you use another program while it is loading. If you just start it and don't touch anything it should start in the foreground.

while loading? no... i normally have a program open while i'm in the lobby, but i stop using it before the loading (although i don't entirely close it)
