I think there needs to be a message alerting the player, not just something on the house itself to show that it is unoccupied. Maybe I built my fisherman's hut away from my village and I didn't look at it so I didn't notice it wasn't occupied?
I disagree. I hate the fact that I get the message 'This house isn't occupied' and I click 'Go to building' and the specific building is near the edge of the map, so I have to search which building it really is.. :(

You can also watch in your stats wich buildings ain't occupied, so I think it wouldn't be bad to disable them.
Not for 'your coal mines are depleted', or 'your troops are getting hungry', but 'this house ain't occupied' is realy something that I wouldn't miss. :)

I do like idea with "cloud" about the house just like the cloud about the serves and other merchants . i dont see how it should break kam style. though it should be put properly
Hmm that sounds strange to me, would look like the house is actually thinking "Oh, I'm empty" :p
It's much more natural above someone's head imo.

Hey forum,

maybe I had told you about this idea, but i dont know anymore :D
That the complete map will discover, specially in Multiplayer, if you/your team win.

Here a video from The Settlers IV, dont look this video, only from 08:05, when the player wins and the map discover:

So you can see the whole map and mabye the loosers could see the village of the enemies directly and don“t need to look at the whole replay.

That sounds like a really good idea pawel :) Most games reveal the map when somebody wins. What do people think?

Not sure if this is going to work in more than 2 players MP games if map gets revealed when 1 player is defeated. I would expect that the map will be revealed if whole team is defeated.

I think the map should not be relvealed when a player loses because he will chat about things he shouldn't. I think it should be revealed for everyone when somebody wins. That means the game is over because they will only win when everybody is defeated or has one, unless we allow more complicated goals later.

To cope with more complicated goals we could make the map only reveal for everyone when every player has either won or lost.

Thats better, so players can see the map and chat about layouts of cities and stuff. That also meets our idea of allowing to chat while seeing results screen. Maybe we can move results screen to the Game and allow to show/hide it, to allow check both results and terrain.

I like it, but mostly people don't bother destroying important buildings. I'm not sure how it is now but I think you should also 'win' when all enemies have left.
However, I see difficulties: what if you need to rehost because a server is causing lag? The last player will be able to see the whole map. This must somehow be prevented... Maybe all important buildings have to be destroyed from one player AND all enemy players must have left the game?

Thats a very good argument, need to think about it ..
If everyones left the game then there's no point is looking at it, use replay then.

when selecting maps provide the ability to automatically set folds 0,1,2,3,4,5.6 level, the higher the site is already folded up. ( 0 is now)

The point is. When selecting the size of the map, to be able to decide how much will be raised area. And that it can choose to raise the amount land maps.
