I tried every option of the built-in editor but I can't find a way to change resource quantity... each tile is 8 units of coal, for instance... I can only work around this by adding more coal tiles (which changes nothing, as mines will still draw only from near tiles and deplete anyway).

Is there a way around this?

No, there's no way around it. Each tile has fixed deposit of resources.

I doubt that will ever be officially implemented in any way. There would be no way of telling how much of a resource is in a tile.

Yeah. The only way you could do a map like "fight for recources" is to make a neutral storehouse between two enemies and you have to conquer it, by attacking or holding the position for a certain time :mrgreen: That way, you can really get infinite recources, by a simple dynmaic script.
