I'm just curious how troops fight and how it works. You can see a militia unit live longer than usual, and Lewin brought up Hitpoints on units, and the fact that they miss? Do they regenerate health over time? Please explain

We don't know for sure how KaM TSK/TPR worked, the information in that topic is from the German guide book that came with the game.

Yes they regenerate health over time, in the Remake it's 1 health every 10 seconds. We don't know how it worked in TSK/TPR, but 10 seconds seems to make fights last about the correct length of time.
