RC3 - Copy Paste edKAM

Hello

Yes. we have copy- paste in map ed. Juhu! But this feature is few useful :/
Why ?

You can copy only on the map. You can not copy from another map to another (as it was in the previous editor [KROM]). What else: The copied section does not connect with the rest of the map. tiles do not match :/

This is useful when you want to enlarge the map such as Clash 6p ---> Clash 8p

I agree, copy-paste is mostly useless in it's current form since it's very rare to want to copy something within the same map, and it's annoying that it messes up the tiling data. Fixing those two things is on our todo list. If we don't get them done for this release we might hide the copy-paste menu until it's fully implemented.

Haha I´m sure that we will have than 1000 mp maps, that are just copied from each other   but I agree, it would be much more useful.

It already possible in Krom's map editor and that hasn't happened ;)
It's mostly useful for stuff like making interconnected maps, like at the start of TPR. Or thunder's megamap project. Or resizing your map if you decide it's too big or too small.

On the other hand, copying within the same map is never really useful, unless you make some terrain feature and want to move it elsewhere.

Actually, I used to do this quite often. For example, moving an entire vein of gold two or three tiles away from someone's base might be needed for balance, and copy+paste is quite useful in this scenario.

Yeah it was only a joke, I know how hard it is to make a good map/part of map, pasting a copied area is a nice thing, but I really didnt know that it was already possible :D :
