Hello all

I just bought a new pc with windows 8 and when i press install in the installation it just dont respond anymore.
Does somebody now what is wrong?

i have also bought recently a new PC with windows 8 (horrible software )
but i didn't have had problems, did you bought it from GOG
or do you have a old version from a cd?
because the GOG version should work with windows 8

Well i have a cd i didnt bought it from GOG.
But i had windows 7 first and there where no problems.

sorry i don't know much of that, i could zip my game and post it so you can try if there is the problem, but then we will get a mod break.

Maybe he said something like download from internet what is illegal to do. Provided that you already have one exemplar that you got on a legal way. For example when you bought a CD you are allowed to make one copie of it. In which way you receive that copie doesn't matter. I do not know if this legal for everyone so tell my when i am wrong.

That's not a great solution because he won't be able to install any future KaM Remake versions or updates without TPR installed properly. Did you try using compatibility mode? Right click on the installer exe, properties, compatibility, try Windows XP (that's how it is in Windows 7, I'm not sure about 8)

Workarounds for the Remake TPR check are not allowed. Find a way to successfully install the TPR you have, or buy it for $5.99 from GOG.

We've all had to deal with this..

I always wondered... why does the Remake need to have TPR installed? Can't it just read the files from my original TPR CD instead? (not sure if same would be possible with an GOG downloaded version, which I assume is just a single .exe file) I don't want to play TPR at all, I am 100% interested in the Remake only.

Can you explain me one thing? Why is it illegal to download KaM, when I already bought this game?
