Online Server For Kam

Hi my friends i will tell my think to you
My friends there is no online server for kam isnt it ? we play only on hamachi serwers but there are problems becouse of hamachi.And we cant find all kam players.
And I want create knights and merchants Server and if i can create this one i will buy a hosting and i will work for it.is it possible ?? when i click internet games in kam tpr it says connection failed.if i create this server when people click this button and they will entered the server and it will be fun everyone is here becouse..

I hope you will succeed. This would be nice, if whe finally could normally play multiplayer with everybody.

The Server Will be in tpr i think and everybody must 1.58sr2 and this patch has a lot of bugs.i think we can wait 1.58sr3 for no multiplayers bugs and i must option the ip of the reg what is the net games servers's Ip for everybody can join

I think I need to delete the Service Release 3 thread to prevent further confusion. The original as planned Service Release 3 is not coming as it turned out to be a hoax... Some people live to mess around I guess
What you are planning should be theoretically possible. The exe would have to be modified to allow this (the address for the lobby is hardcoded). One hard part would probably be to create the lobby itself, because we do not know what the game expects to find from the lobby to generate the lists and other stuff

But I guess one could get past this obstacle with try and fail

Nice idea,
but you need the game soruce. And that's it! No one knows it

I don't know if someone is able to decode the whole game (and the .exe).
But if it would work, would be great! No Hamachi, no lags, many players

I don't think the source is needed, since people have adapted it to be compatible with Hamachi, so it can be adapted to any other server....

there is a difference, Hamachi pretends to be LAN and therefore works (KAM had LAN support already), but you have to actively connect to a real server, with its IP address.

Well I just read that someone decoded the source of some Ultima VI(?) expansion pack and it took him six months doing the work 8 hours a day

Just hacking the new address to the exe shouldn't be that difficult, but hosting a server that the game knows how to use should be fairly difficult.

perhaps, but use they just used DirectX standard stuff right? atleast they did for the TCP/IP and LAN games..

I am searching a game source for 5 days but i found nothing.. and i dont know what must i do if i can find the game source i can open the server but it has many bugs ..

You won't find the game source. No one knows it...
We have to hack the game, but, as Litude already said, it takes a very long time which nobody wants to spend
