Tournament 8p

Hello everyone

i made a new fighting map for 2, 4 or 8 players

the map is a small tournament which will start with 4 1v1 games on Dangerous Road

the 4 winners of the starting round will play another 1v1 game on Abandoned Valley

after this there will be 2 players left that will play the finale game on Treasure Island


the script of this map is not completed and i will add new things
i would like to see some test games to be able to fix bugs or other problems

Nice idea! I hope the players who lose will get to spectate the next games :)

at the moment i have:
-the basic script for the units
-defeat conditions
-fogreveal for defeated players
in the script

things i will add:
-win condition
-groupkill (for the left over units)
-cynematic, becouse if for example the 1v1 game is done on locations 1 and 2 but the battle on location 3 and 4 is taking very long time. the winner on location 1 and 2 can spawn kill the winner on location 3 and 4

if someone has a suggestion of thing i could add please let me know

I'd really like to see something else happening with that left over units. Something like a spectate arena for them. They won, why should they be exterminated?

Is it possible to make them not to move at all after winning a battle?

Nice idea :) We played with Kamyk, wolo and Luki :P

found 2 bugs:

- Unsupported variable type 28 - just use AnsiString instead of String.
- No victory conditions in final battle? :O Played: me vs Kamyk; I lost all my troops (given for final) and Kamyk didn't win...

i know that the winning conditions are not added yet :$
i'll add them soon

i never had a problem with the scipt, do you have the replay?
cause i dont know how to fix it

no, I didn't save...

we got Unsupported variable type 28 at start. I changed to AnsiString all String variables and script worked good ;)

i have finnaly updated the map and now it is finished :D

made a few updates:
changed the elevation on the first map
added winning conditions for 2,4 and 8 players (H)

fixed the variable type 28 at the start

new download is in the first post

if this map is going to be in the remake(it is on the list of new maps :) )then this version needs to be added

Tiank reported some problems with this script in the KaM Remake Release Candidate:
Script in Tournament is behaving in a weird way.
When player is alone, all 3 places to fight are visible from start, troops available as well. With 4 AI selected, there're only 2 places visible. Maybe it's just script that needs fixing...
Could you take a look at that please?

the script will give you the troops when the enemy player has no units left, and because Tiank had no enemy (the players where alone) the script spawned the troops.
i can fix the script (i was noob at scripting when i made this) but it's not a problem when you play it properly.
