Install/update problems

Hi

I have a problem with the KaM Remake.... I recently had to reinstall my game, and I have the r4179 version. I want to play Multiplayer, and for that I have to upgrade to r5503...
The thing is, I've downloaded the update from The Netherlands, Australia and Germany (all available options), but none of them works... It says that the file is corrupted, upgrade to a newer version of the program.
I don't know why does it do this, but it's annoying...

I've even downloaded the full game three times, but they're popping up the same message...

What should I do?

Hi,

I created a separate topic for you problem. It doesn't belong in the official bugs topic.

Have you tried completely uninstalling KaM Remake and download and install the latest release?

Yes, I've tried... I've downloaded the full version installers too... But they pop up with the same message.

Maybe your connection is a bit unstable? Are you using a mobile broadband connection? Can you try downloading from another internet connection?

I got the same error as you got 2 times in a row! That was also a "shock" for me, I just redownloaded it and it was fine. So I can“t give you any more help than to tell you, that you should try to download it once again.

No I don't use Wireless Connection...
Sadly I can't but I didn't seem to find a way to change it either.

Thank you for the advice pawel, but before I posted, I downloaded it 6 times (2 times from the Netherland, 2 from Australia, 2 from Germany), and same goes for the full version... Every one of them popped up this message multiple times.... :|

That's odd, I just tested and the downloads are working fine for me. That error message probably means the download was interrupted before reaching the end. Check that the file size is the same as it is on our downloads page, you'll probably find it's too small.

It sounds like it might be a problem with your internet connection that is interrupting the download somehow. Maybe try downloading it on a different connection (e.g. a friend's place). Alternatively there could be some software on your PC that is modifying the file before you run it, but I don't see why that would be happening.

Run anti virus scanners on your pc there could be virus that infects the setup and corupt it or a malware that causes connection problems
if that don't work please follow my advanced guide

1 Go to your second computer/laptop
2 Download and install kam remake make sure u have instaled kam tpr on second computer/laptop
3 Plug in pendrive and copy the whole Kam remake folder
4 If its done, plug out of second pc and plug in to your first pc and copy the folder on to your desktop
5 To play run KaM_Remake.exe

And there you go.

If you don't have second pc

1 Download virtual machine software Like Virtualbox (Free) or Vmware (Vmware is paid) and install it
2 Create a virtual machine, setup it, install Windows on it like vista or 7 because xp its not suported any more
3 Install on your virtual machine kam tpr and KaM Remake
4 Copy the whole KaM Remake folder by selecting folder and clicking copy and move your mouse to your real pc and click paste

And there you go.

If you don't want to mess with it

I could ask Lewin for permision if i can send you compressed version of the KaM Remake Files on to some of the file hosting services.

My OS is Windows 7 (x86)...
My files are a bit smaller like it's on the website (0.02 MB)...
I do have second computer, but I'm out in vacation... So that'll wait, but I'll try that one, thank you.
