Ok, I've decided to go official today.

Everybody please sign it!

To see how many people have signed so far, visit this page:
http://lewin.namsys.com.au/kam/petitioncount.php

Also, please spread the word though your local fansites and forums, and get everybody who you can to add their name. I only speak English, so other people will need to announce it on the other forums.
Lewin.

Also I have told The Knights about this petition.
If he won't make an ancouncement or something like that I will simply put a topic about it on the german forum, even if it's not very active at all.

Back to the source!

Wow, thanks guys! Looks like everybody will know about it. I was going to tell those people myself but you were faster.

So far we have 14 people signed, a few of which I have never heard of.
Keep it up! I'm hoping to get at least 100 people.
Lewin.

Your details will be kept as private as possible.
Some people don't like the idea with their name, surname and e-mail shown public. The counter is a good idea, but I don't think it's necessary.

Thanks for posting the news!

I have no intention of showing anybody the names. That would be a huge breach of privacy and against what is said in the licence agreement.
However, I will give you updates as to how many people have signed it, and maybe how many from each country.
But full details? No way. I guess I could show nicknames but I still don't think people would like that.

BTW: Over the past few days I've had a huge rush of people signing, mainly from Poland. Thanks for posting that kuba!!! Count is now 36...
Lewin.

Done.

@Lewin: Decided to split the posts from the time before the real petition went live as they weren't quite relevant anymore. You might want to edit the first post with some more information as to why the source code would be nice to have (needs to attract people to sign it ).
Will write a news post about this shortly.

How many signatures do we have now?
Since everybody wants to know the answer to that question, I have made a page which will tell you: (this updates live as people sign)
http://lewin.namsys.com.au/kam/petitioncount.php OR
http://lewin.namsys.com.au/kam/petitioncount.txt (they are the same, but admins may like it avalible in both file formats)

@Admins: You can include that on the news pages of the fansite if you want to. (e.g. with PHP or a frame)
I added another feature which disallows duplicate signings, if all details are the same as one already entered. (I had a few of them before)

So, as I write this it is 83... By tomorrow? Who knows....

And now it's 95!!!!! That's 12 in less than one day.

Most of them are coming from Poland at the moment, probably because Lucbach just posted it in the news on the fan site. Also someone said the Polish comunity is the bigest, so that's probably a factor too.

Here are the current statistics:

49 Poland
19 Germany
9 Netherlands
2 Australia
2 Belgium
2 Latvia
2 Russia
2 United States
1 Austria
1 Canada
1 Denmark
1 Finland
1 Hungary
1 Korea
1 United Kingdom
1 Switzerland

I'll do this again once we have a few more.
Lewin.
P.S. Some one just signed while I was writing this, so I had to update it. :o
