What's the trick to get bowman to shoot the enemy?

Hi everyone. I get so pissed off when the bowman don't shoot at the enemy! I don't understand why. There's no buildings or trees in their way. Their not too close or too far away. They were shooting on the last attack. What makes them stop shooting? Most importantly, is there a way to make them attack again?
Thanks in advance!

Maybe if you manually attack? You know, right right on enemy? Be careful though, they might want to take a walk instead...

I tried that and they did start to walk into the enemy.
Thanks for the reply!

There is even a known bug in TPR where your men can stand next to the enemies, and they dont attack each other. You could check whether your infantry attacks their infantry, if not, you're dealing with this bug (for which there is no solution but to restart).

Think it's the one that is caused by using soldiers that you can hire from the town hall.

IIRC it's related with drunk soldiers bug. In that case you'll need to kill them in some other way. Enemies' units trained after the bug happened shouldn't be affected, but the bug can occur again.

I have this bug too sometimes. When I first time noticed it, my decision was to order bowmans stop (so they wouldn't walk to get killed).
They began to shoot after I rotated them to look straight into enemy soldiers.
So try pressing halt when having this problem, it might work but I don't guarantee it...

Thanks! I'll try that.

And in the same way, the slingshot-guy doesn't stop attacking

... Or is that another issue?

I have had this bug before. Units just seem to have a slower reaction time. For me if I waited a few moments they would attack. The best way to avoid this bug is to not use Town Hall units. Also, Town Hall units DO NOT cause this bug if they were started in the mission to begin with. It must have something to do with the Town Hall and not the units methinks...
