dd: generic failure

Yo,
I'd like to play the game on 1280x1024, but whenever i change the resolution in the setup.cfg file, the game no longer works. Whenever I try to start a game I get this error message: DD:generic failure.
Running on Windows 7, compatibilty mode off, patch 1.58 s2.

I'm already using the fix, the game runs perfectly with 800x600 or 1024x768. However i'd like to play on a higher resolution.

Then why didn't you meantion it?
Update your GPU drivers (unless you have the latest drivers). Have you tried reinstalling the game?

latest drivers are already installed, reinstall didn't help...
is no one else getting this error message ?

wow, it hit me today..... :oops:
my screen is 1366x768, ofcourse i can't run 1280x960 or 1280x1024.
Could I, however, run it with something like 1280x768? or 1366x768?

No, KaM doesn't support custom screen resolutions.

Open setup.cfg in the folder of the game and instead of # put "1" in the line with "!RESOLUTION #". It helped me.
