All the text in the game seems to be gone.
Does anyone have a clue?

I also had similar issue, but just some texts ware missing. To address the problem my KaM Remake folder is on the desktop. Did you installed KaM Remake or just copied it from an other machine like me? (I didn't want to spend time with installing KaM TPR)

I installed the remake after installing the original version. There is no text in the menus and not even the warehouse displays quantities.
By the way, I'm on Vista 32 bit. On windows 8 it doesn't work because of old opengl version....

Please check that the following files exist in your KaM Remake folder:
data\misc\setup.eng.lib, text.eng.lib, remake.eng.libx
data\gfx\fonts\metal.1252.fnt, outline.1252.fnt

Also open up KaM_Remake_Settings.ini, and check what language it has selected. (near the top, something like "lang=eng") If it is not eng, try changing it to that, saving the file and starting the Remake again.

If you get a message about OpenGL being old, it means you need to update your graphics drivers (e.g. from the Nvida or AMD site). It is possible that is also causing the text to not display. Can you please attach your latest log file (from the Logs folder) so I can see what OpenGL version you have?

I figured out what my problem was. It needs administrator rights.

I've checked those files and they are missing... Tried to reinstal KaM Remake - with no effect. Where can I find and download them pls?

That post is old. We no longer use those files. The new text files are stored as:
data\text\text.eng.libx

Sadly, yes. All texts in the main menu won't display and ingame button-texts are gone too.

Try uninstalling the Remake and installing the latest version from our site (r4001) to a different folder than the old version was installed to.
