Seeing as there is not a tech support area...

Sorry to be a bother but I recently got The Shattered Kingdom (hotgames) but every time I try to start the game up I get a white window that has the [Not Responding] message and crashed every time, I'm running XP but the box says it should be XP compatible and I've tried creating a shortcut and make it 95/98 compatible but that has failed also, can anyone help I REALLY want to play this again!

Try to install newest patch, maight it will help u.
Or the CD is corrupted?
Or try to install it again.

Try switching your screen resolution to a lower setting i.e. 800*600 and changing the colour to 16 bit if that dosent work you need to say precisley when the message appears i.e. after / before the intro/ video etc...

Those re-releases of games always claim to be 100% Windows XP compatible, but in reality they are completely unchanged from the original game. I once bought a DOS game claiming to be 100% XP compatible (a re-release) only to find out that it didn't work.

Anyways, I don't have any other suggestions that what is already available on the website. Try patching the game first to 1.3 and see if it works, and if it doesn't to 1.32. Remember that Knights and Merchants does not like the compatibility mode, so make sure it is unchecked!

Thanks for the replies, but I figured it out. The exe. for the game I bought (hotapps) is not good but I found a way around it.
