Tree trunks |
Tree trunks can be produced by the woodcutter who makes them by cutting down trees Incase there's no forest nearby, the Woodcutter can also plant trees which can be cut later. The trunks cannot be used for anything in their current from, a serf will have to take them to a sawmill where the carpenter will make timber out of them.

Stones |
Stones are one of the most common resources. You need it to build roads and houses. It is also used by recruits in watchtowers to throw at enemy heads. To mine stones you need to find greenish mountains and build a quarry nearby. Stonemasons will cut pieces of rock from those mountains and bring them to quarry to give them usable form.

Timber |
Timber is the resource with most uses. It can be used for building both buildings and vine fields. Timber can also be used for creating different kinds of wooden weapons: lances, hand axes and longbows and you can also create wooden shields with timber. To produce timber you need some tree trunks from the woodcutter which will be taken to a sawmill where timber will be made of it.

Iron ore |
Iron ore can only be used for creating different kinds of soldier equipment and siege weapons. To mine iron ore you will have to locate a brown yellowish colored mountain where bluish veins are visible and build an iron mine right below it. The ore will then be taken to an iron smithy where it will be refined to iron which can be used for e.g. weapons.

Gold ore |
Gold ore can be used for producing gold. In order to do this though, you will have to build a gold mine beneath a gray colored mountain where gold colored veins are visible. To refine the gold ore into actual gold it will have to be taken to a metallurgist's where it will be refined by using coal.

Coal |
Coal can be used for various things, but there's always limited number of coal in every mission which can lead to the fact that you will have to carefully plan how much coal to use on each resource. In order to get coal you will have to look for areas with black dots visible on the ground and build a coal mine on them. The coal won't last long and you will have to build new coal mines quite often.

Iron |
Iron can be used for creating powerful equipment for your soldiers at the weapon smithy and armor smithy, or for creating siege weapons at the vehicles workshop. Creating iron can be done by building an Iron smithy and supplying it with plenty of iron ore and coal. It is quite an expensive process to create iron so it is better to consume it wisely.

Gold |
Gold can be used for training all the different peasant types from the school house, or you can also hire mercenaries from the town hall. To create gold you will have to supply a metallurgist's with both gold ore and coal.

Wine |
Wine is the weakest type of food and arguably easiest to produce (with fish). It refills the least amount of condition but it completely fills the soldier condition, so it is just as good for soldiers as any other type of food.

Corn |
Corn is one of the most important resources in the game as it gives you access to a lot of other resources and buildings. You can supply some to the mill and you will get flour which in turn can be used for bread, or you could use it at the swine farm to make both pig meat used for sausages and skins used for leather armors. Finally it can also be used to breed horses which are needed for mounted units. Corn can be produced at a farm by a farmer.

Loaves |
Loaves are the main food source in the game, that is you will mainly count on them. Why is that then? Trying to supply all of your inns with plenty of sausages is hard, but making loaves is quite easy and it gives a quite good amount of condition. Loaves are produced by a baker at a bakery from flour which in turn is made of corn at a mill.

Flour |
Flour is a ware which can not be used for much in it's current state, but taking it to a bakery will allow a baker to bake some loaves from it. Flour can be created out of corn at a mill.

Leather |
Leather is quite hard to produce as it requires you to first produce plenty of corn which will be taken to a swine farm where an animal breeder will grow a pig by using a lot of corn. Then a fully grown pig will be butchered and the skin will have to be taken to a tannery where a butcher will make leather of the skin. Leather can only be used for creating leather armor at the armory workshop.

Sausages |
Sausages refill the most condition of all food types which means that they are the best food type. Mass producing them so that all inns have enough of sausages is quite difficult however, so it's still recommended to produce all different food types. Sausages are produced out of pig meat at the butcher's. Pigs can be acquired from swine farms.

Pigs |
Pigs are used for creating sausages at the butcher's. You can produce pigs at swine farms by supplying them with plenty of corn, as breeding a pig will use take a lot of corn.

Skins |
Skins will be produced at a swine farm when a pig gets butchered. This means that they are quite expensive in resources until you have a good economical structure for your base. Skins can be used for creating leather at a tannery.

Horses allow your military units to mount themselves making them faster and more effective against infantry. This does come at a cost however, as lance weapons are strong against mounted units.

Fish |
Fish is arguably easiest to produce (with wine). It refills about the same amount of condition for peasants as loaves do, but they cannot be fed to soldiers. Fish can be caught by a fisherman, but after some time the fish will run out from the lake. |
