The Settlers II 10th Anniversario remake

I can hardly imagine a person who liked K&M and never heard of The Settlers strategy games which offer similar gameplay

It's a 3D remake of an old hit. It claims to keep old gameplay with new graphics. Sounds interesting

Really, I've heard of the game but I'm really picky now a days I mean 40-50 bucks for a PC game now is really pushing it. I'm downloading the demo in English right now from Gamespot.com. hmm I'll give it a try and leave some feed back later on today.

Well, I just finished playing it for about 20 minutes and well I can't say that I was happy with the game as a whole. It was alright I suppose I enjoyed the presentation the 3-D graphics and how it relates to K&M as a game and I liked that alot.

But the gameplay itself is kind of crappy to say the least, it gets very annoying on planing things out, I guess it might be my computer not powerful enough to handle it game itself, but I don't know its not something I'll run out and buy.

But as a rating I give it a 7/10. Everything was great, but I honestly hate the playing controls.

I tried this demo yesterday and I need to say I didn't liked it much. It's 3D all right, but it looks not that spectacular as KaM
There are weird polygons with stretched textures on angular models.
The older I come the more I like simplicity and less complexity I guess Or maybe it's just poor design ..

Anyway I suggest anyone try demo before buying it

Has the demo already been released? It feels like days since the release of the game was announced in Europe. Time seems to pass fast nowdays . How big is the demo?

IMHO it's worth trying the demo
It's already available and size is ~250mb

i love the demo i beatplay for too long or it will expier cause of the timer on the right of a screen it but i cant
