All These Fancy Lights...

On the old Forum, it was pretty simple. If you have seen the latest post, the forum/topic icon would be grey. If you hadn't, the icon would be gold. If the forum/topic was locked, than it would have a locked icon. If it was sticky, it would have a sticky gooey icon or something.

But now I seem to notice a lot of different icons (I don't even know what they are supposed to be. Weird magical orbs? I Dono.). Sometimes the whole thing is blue. Sometimes just part of it. Sometimes just yellow. Sometimes, they even have little clear white like spots on them...whew. Lot's to keep track of.
It is probably pretty simple, but what do each of them mean? I've figured a few out. I've looked around the forum for a legend, but I haven't had any luck so far.

I agree that the icons are a bit unclear compared to the old forum icons..

Well I like the black background a lot more.

But mostly, I'm curious. I still want to know what they mean!
