Games most like KaM

We all love KaM. Considering that it is unlikely that a sequel will be made, what other games out there are close to replicating KaM?

So far I've found that Anno 1701 is pretty close but the military side is a bit rubbish. Also Settlers but found that the military side is a bit too dominant. Thoughts?

Really? Anno 1701? I thinK Anno games are veeery different from KaM. Settlers comes a bit closer but there are not many games like KaM.

Both KaM and Anno have extensive variety of resources/items in the game. They also focus heavily on space management.
